What do you suggest for a handbag?
I have a plane of 10-hour trip up next month, I'm flying from Toronto to Athens I am not sure what kind of bag to bring for my hand luggage I'm looking for something not too big enough to carry the essentials and also something a bit stylish. Any suggestions about the style or where to buy a bag to be useful. I was thinking about some type of shoulder bag or a sports guy also, any suggestions on what to pack I have never traveled before, so I have no idea what to use! lol Thanks!
I can travel internationally for my job and my advice is to forget about being fashionable. You need to focus on comfort, because long trips are as low, uncomfortable, and often unglamorous, unless you travel in first class. A backpack is the best luggage. The bag is fine if it gets too little of it. You will need to pack snacks for the plane, a travel pillow (the pillow at Brookstone NAP travel is best), noise-canceling headphones and an AC adapter / converter. The jet lag is horrible the first time you experience it, so bring pills sleep and a white noise generator / dream machine. Do not expect to sleep much on the plane, but not forced to stay awake during the day when the earth in Greece. Otherwise you will be totally spoiled. Have fun and good luck!
