Canon Digital Rebel XTi (Black) with EF-S 18-55mm II – Pro Photo enthusiast Kit?
I'm thinking of buying a Rebel XTi and was wondering if this kit package buydig.com good for a person who is buying their first digital SLR camera? The kit lens 18-55mm sucks. The filters do not need, especially the UV filter. The extra battery is not necessary unless you plan to shoot every day for long periods of time. The holster case is probably not the best, nor is it necessary. The card reader is nice, but is probably not the best. The only cleaning kit really need is a microfiber cloth. All in all, the "Pro" kit was created just for people to buy the camera because they want to get rid of all the extra garbage at a price higher than it's worth, or what they could get for it. My suggestion is to buy the camera body, and nothing else. Then, get a better goal, not the kit 18-55mm. Get a 1 GB card memory, and that's really all you need.
