What happens if I set my laptop battery at high performance?
I have the intention to use my laptop for 5 or more hours straight! If I put the battery in my laptop on high performance are the pros and cons? As my team will be harmed in anyway and such. (Please explain briefly with a lot of details please?) I'm looking to run the battery low state only if I'm NOT doing the things you use the battery, such as video games, movies, etc.
With the power management settings on your high performance battery the computer will not run all the time so it could actually get 5 hours out of the battery. The battery itself should be able to handle the download speed of that good though. If used in your lap then it is likely to block the vents in the bottom of your computer that will probably not be good for the team if you work hard (overheating) and there is probably a good thing for you, but I would not expect you to drive really do any damage to the computer (as there are thermal sensors as slow or turn it off when it gets out of spec).
