What exactly is a Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW Double Layer?
I am buying a new laptop, a HP HDX18t. I am a little confused about the Blue-Ray ROM. It says double layer, does this mean there is both a Blu-Ray Drive and DVD drive? I will be able to play regular DVD’s right?
I understand that the Lightscribe is for burning and creating movies/vids/music so that is not my confusion.

It means it can play blu-ray DVD movies/discs, play regular DVD movies/discs, and burn regular DVD discs, as well.
A regular DVD can hold 4.7GBs of data on the disc. Where as a double layer can hold 8.5Gbs. Basically, you can store more on the double layer disc, but they are a little more expensive.
