Is there anything that can be substituted for tube feeding a puppy?
Rescued pregnant had an emergency cesarean weeks with 13 puppies. 10 of them survived except one that needs to be tube fed. It took me another ten I have dogs to the veterinarian for annual vaccinations, physical, Frontline, Heartguard, so add $ 2000 + for cesarean delivery and follow-up care and I just do not have the money for another trip to the vet. I can not believe that this team needs is not always the web. I can not even buy this from a veterinarian and if bringit the vet, who will not give me the tube to take home. There must be something available on a Sunday night that I can help feed this puppy. Why in hell can not sell something to a vet to help a puppy in need. You know its bad when Walmart doesn't have it. I've spent a lot of bottles and syringes in different bulb. Sorry. She had 13 puppies. Lost 3. But still we have 10 very healthy puppies; k I have also other nineteen members of the family. Total 20
Have you tried a preemie nipple on a bottle of 4 ounces of baby? You may have to open the hole a little, but it may work. I can not believe that your vet will not help you with this. My vets do the impossible for me with everything I needed. Also can try to get a syringe from a dentist who have children with the long edge. Or even a baby medicine syringe may also work. I'm thinking to you here. Abot accept as if you get a baby medicine syringe and then go to the pharmacy and see if you can install a rubber flexable in it for you. Sorry I can not think of anything right now.
