Is my Canon EOS 50D capable of infrared photography?
Hey everyone, I need to know if my New Canon EOS 50D is capable of shooting C O L O U R infrared photos. when i shine my tv remote at the camera and take a photo I can see a red/purple light emitted from the LED of the remote. do I need to get my camera modified or anything to shoot colour infrared? or can I just buy an infrared filter? also can someone provide me with a link for an infrared lens for a 72mm Lens for my EOS 50D on Amazon (PS I live in the UK)!

Only psudo Colour Infrared if you have Potoshop. There are some tutorials that can show you how to do that.
However, since there is an IR cutoff filter in front of your 50D’s sensor, ther is no way for IR to get to the sensor to record it.
