Has anyone heard of the Zelco flashlight keychains?
There’s these keychain mini-flashlights by Zelco products on Barnesandnoble.com that claims the high intensity white light beams last a lifetime (no replacement battery needed). Is that true? There’s also an “Ultra Blast” version that doesn’t have lifetime beams, but has a flashilight beam can be seen up to a mile. Has anyone bought these products? Does it work like it claims to? Or they just more pieces of crap?

To be fair, Zelco doesn’t claim the “KeyLight” will never require battery replacement. It indicates the BULB will last “indefinitely.” That’s essentially true. You should never have to replace the LEDs in either of the key light products Zelco sells during your lifetime. Do I think they’re crap? No. Would I pay $24 for a key light? I don’t think so. Still, Zelco has won many awards for its products, and I believe it’s a respected company. I bought an “Itty Bitty” Book Light years ago and I have it yet, though I admit I don’t use it much anymore. I will not advise against buying either Zelco key light. It’s your money. Spend it as you choose. I do think, however, that you can pretty much trust the company’s description of the products.
