How do I get a broken down car home?
I was looking at a car I liked in Iowa for a good price. The engine is blown and I have the means to fix that as well as the other problems. What is the cheapest method to get the car from Iowa back to my home in Indiana? I imagine shipping is not worth what the car costs? Any ideas?
the cheapest way is to rent a dolly and go pull it back,we did this on a car from two states away,we tried wrecker services but they wanted three times what it was gong to cost us to go get it,it cost us the time and the rental but still it was a lot cheaper,you can try some of the local wrecker services you might get them to do it on a flat rate,they wouldn’t do it for us though,it cost us about 200 a few months ago to go about 400 miles and get one which wasn’t bad,good luck with it.
