OMG! I have a baby bat in my house! How the heck did it get in, and how do I get it out?
Hubby swatted it at it with a fly swatter and I yelled at him for being mean. Bats are good creatures and eat many insects. But how did it get in, and how do I get it out? It was on the floor, and when I went to pick it up, it took off. Now it’s flying around upstairs. I have all the windows open. Which is better: Turn the lights on, or turn them off?
Animal control? You obviously live in a city! No such thing here. This is upstate NY farm country.

Well, I stupidly caught a bat with my bare hands once. Funny that it was the same situation as you though haha.
Take a tee shirt and use it kind of like a net. Bats are known for rabies and you don’t want to get bitten. If you can catch it with the shirt, nicely take it outside and let it go.
