what causes a kitten to just starting to shake its head almost like a seisure?
I have a kitten that is almost3.5 months old. She will be just sitting there sometimes and you look at her and she slightly starts to shake her head. Almost like a small seizuer.What could this be and should I be concerned. She has already had her first set of shots.
This could very possibly be Cerebral Palsey, a neurological disorder.
Definitely to the vet.
If your cat is looking up, staring, as the head is shaking and it isn’t happening all the time, it could be a gran mal seizure (which fries the brain and they need to be cooled down with cool washcloth on their head, back, paws while on the way to the emergency vet)
Could be an inner ear infection, although that would be more like a swaying motion from being of balance.
As someone else wrote, the possibility of ear mites. If you have feline ear cleaner, you can take a cotton ball and squirt a little down there, rub the lower ear (they will fight, but try to hold on before it all comes out), then gently rub inside ear with cotton ball. If coffee ground-like stuff comes out, that would be ear mites.
In ANY case, I would get your cat to the vet as soon as possible since it could be so many things.
