Sigg Aluminum bottles: is it better than stainless steel? isn’t aluminum poisonous?
since i’ve heard a lot about the leeching in plastic bottles, i decided to make a switch.
Sigg and Klean Kanteen are the alternatives i’m deciding between.
I really like sigg’s designs, but isn’t aluminum poisonous?
I also read that klean kanteen has a metallic taste to its water.
So which one should i buy?
I just replaced my plastic water bottles with Klean Kanteen stainless steel ones. I love them and notice no metallic taste. Stainless steel is far superior to aluminum. Aluminum can leach into food, including liquids, particularly if they are acidic. This shouldn’t be a problem, if you only put water in the containers, but get stainless steel. There are different caps that go with the KK bottles.
