Installing a ceiling light – Box of 2 black cables connected together?
Before there was a ceiling fan with light. When I removed old ceiling fan / light in the junction box that had two wires coming in. Of the two wires, two black wires are connected together and two white wires were connected to the black and white wires coming out of the ceiling fan and light. How do I can connect the new ceiling light? I just keep everything connected as it was before? Two black together, and use two white wires from the black and white wires from the new ceiling light?
Yes, but it should be 3 wires. A live wire (Black), a neutral wire (white) and a ground wire (usually copper only)
