Will my dog chewing overcome their problem?
My 17 month old wolf husky mix has a bit of a problem chewing. It seems like things like cables and belts Safety / straps. I give all helmets, chew bones, Nylabones, sticks and toys intimidate a dog could want, but you still need to tackle something new from time to time. I worry that he will try to bite off a lamp cord that is plugged into one of those days. I took this about 3 months, so I think feel at home. He begins to run off leash for about 1 / 2 hour every day and I take it out of some longer rides on weekends. So, is this something that will grow out? Is there anything I can give you better chew toys?
May need more than 1 / 2 hours exersize. He is a big dog in work. If you do not have time to run all day off (most of us do not!) Try it at home games. If you have stairs, and run it down with a ball or candy. Or the race at home, or what keeps you interested. Make sure you have tired before that normally gets into something. If you eat in the car during car rides, you shit, first place. If you chew cables as when left alone, the tire before leaving, and possibly restrict access to the house (if not already) until it gets a little older and settles in more. In addition, if food motivated, try frozen stuffed Kongs. A nice race, a stuffed Kong, and must be contained. ADD: bitter apple sprays and as the work of CAN. However, my dog liked it! She licks it as soon as you apply. And almost anything else we could think up his discourage. So you may or may not work.
