How to configure the basic control function button LED?
I'm building a model of a hockey rink. I want to start a simple command works very red-light LED as the light finish. I like to have a battery connected at all times and be able to use the button to turn the light on / off. If it makes a difference, the red LED light. I also hope that the cable from the LED light for control of about 7 feet. Through the research so far seems so simple as connected (by welding and wire) part of the battery to the control in the resistor, and finally to light. it is so simple, the only problem is that if you do not have the LED connected to the + / – cable correctly with respect polarity. a cable (LED) should be longer that one must be connected to the + side, if you get this wrong, do not worry it will not harm the LED, just change cables this is really the big difference of a bulb, a LED will only allow current to flow in one direction, while a light bulb can be connected any terminal and continue to operate, an LED has a positive side and negative side http://web.mit.edu/ ~ awozniak/Public/6.121/LED.html
