Parachute Laws For Military Parachutes?
I bought a US pilots bailout parachute from 1967. Fully functional. Is it illegal for it to have the canopy in it and be in working order? Any Military Regulations?
I have been in the military for over six years. I am airborne qualified, I have also been skydiving for almost 13 years and now I skydive for the army. Yes you can own the canopy. Since then the chutes have ALL been upgraded..I have seen alot of military chutes end up for sale. I am sure all it is, is a pull and pray round parachute. Back then the technology of chutes was very basic. it will be a round parachute that opens like crap and lands you even worse. The only way I would use that thing is if a plane were really going down and I had no other choice. Its a nice item to have but I wouldnt use it…no leagal action for you to have it so your GOOD!
