do i get issued an ACU backpack?
So i have this cheap ACU backpack that they gave me when i enlisted (no back support or molle webbing or anything). I was wondering if i would get one when i graduate from basic, AIT, or when i deploy? I want the ACU backpack that has back support, molle webbing, hydration carrying capability, and the velcro strip for your name tape.
That backpack you got was just a cheap ploy by the recruiters. It’s not for actual use in the military. It’s for for you to wear around so you can let people know that you think you’re awesome because you enlisted in the Army and haven’t actually done anything to earn their respect yet. You’ll be issued all your real gear when you get to you first duty station.
