Is it safe to live in an outfitters shop full time? I had only 10 minutes from the city?
I lived with regularly in tents owner for nearly 10 summers. (5-15 weeks a year.) Of course these were at base camp, so there was a kitchen and disaster area as well. I had to cook in my store. I also lived in a Tipi for several seasons. I spent a week in the Tipi in the fall and one week in a Tipi in the winter … with snow on the ground. In this case, I had no tent to visit and each time my food cache in a lock box big … no problem. My friend has a shop owner of Cabela's with a small wood stove. We have used this for several days at a time. (Most was 5 in the FP in the winter.) Again no problems. We had enough wood to heat the shop and if you need food that could lead to 15 minutes to the store. We think that in winter, it could build a sauna ground (similar to a sweat lodge) to clean or just standing in a tub of water and use a bucket of hot water. The store is in very hot so to keep warm while bathing is not really a problem. I have a friend who has a yurt. He lived there for two years while was building his cabin … hand. The first year he lived in the yurt had no power and no running water. If you can go hardcore and go power, great, if not you a generator. Cache of food and articles smellable! Bears and raccoons, love, etc. stuff.
