How long does a NES Battery Pak last?
I recently came across a bunch of my old NES games, including some that were “Battery Paks,” games that could be saved using the cartridge’s battery backup. How long will these batteries last? Is there a way to replace them?
My cousin has got The Legend of Zelda since 1988 and the battery still works. But then again, he rarely plays the game.
I was reading a video game magazine back in 2005 and they were showing how to replace battries on old NES cartridges. But it’s a fairly complicated process.
