I just bought a BMW Z4 and in the center console there’s a pen holder and this spot with velcro straps.. ??
I looked online and someone said it’s for a flashlight that goes in some other BMWs but that’s not right because there isn’t a charger. I don’t have the bluetooth option so it’s not that either. There are no outlets at all. There’s a clear rectagular indentation so it seems like something specific would fit there..
But all of the OEM BMW flashlights are the rechargeable type. The bluetooth equipped cars do have a cell phone cradle I think.. But I would think something OEM would go there.. Like maybe when the car was brand new it had something there.. I usually just throw my cell in the e-brake part or ash tray.
It’s just to hold stuff. Dont think it has a specific purpose. Its the same way in mine.
