ideas for building small, lightweight 1 person platform…?
I am looking to build a platform designed for one person made of wood, height between 6 and 8 inches, length and width between 2-3 feet. Something easy to carry to perform on for programs I do at nursing homes…preferably made of wood

Use a 2×8 block (actually 7-1/4″ wide) on each end and in the middle, and a piece of 1×12 for the deck. Screw the deck into the blocks. This will give you a platform that is exactly 8″ high.
You can also use 2×6 blocks, which are 5-1/2″ wide, and will give you a total height of 6-1/4″. Hope this helps.
