My guinea pig loves to eat string. Okay?
So my guinea pig, Georgie, I love to eat bits of my bead keychain. His many as hemp, but much thinner and lighter in color. In addition, the material is like catnip for the child. He'll purr and sing away when you chew on it. So far has shown no disease or anything like it, but I just want to make sure I do not get sick in the long term. He and 4 and I would kill to lose. Yes you eat hay. I've had for years. I know how to care for him. I took the rope myself a big ball of things. Only bites in small chunks at a time. And he has been doing this for weeks. I am asking a question to make sure that in time this will not damage it can not judge my ability to care for Georgie, who has been perfectly healthy all his life.
I do not think it's healthy, but if done in small quantities it to be fine. Forget what the others said – do not take it away from him completely because it is very unfair! People do not seem to realize that piggies have feelings too. Not like that his family had his team away, right? Forget what they said. I advise you give it once a week as a gift for about 10 minutes and then give something edible chewing a piece of carrot or something. The carrot contains a lot of water so I wash anything out piggie harmful and still have the comfort of chewing something. I hope I helped!
