How to overcome the shooters flinch?
Okay, so I have 14, and my uncle-in-law thinks it would be a brilliant idea for me to get 0270 as a first center fire. Well, my problem is that the decision has led me to fail. At this point, I can keep the groups around 0.5 – 1.5 in., but before shooting, I can always feel falter! I can not cope. Does anyone have any advice to get over it? Even with low power hand loads, yet flinch, recoil is not painful. Any help is welcome, thank you, Kyle. The reason is my age was included because I'm young child.
The 0270 is a cartridge low major setback, but no one should start more than a 0.22. you learn to shoot without flinching, and can gradually work your way up to large calibres. Overcoming hesitation is difficult to do, so you need to have a good day and shoot solid 0.22 s. Some advice: Relax. The encouragement, then exhale halfway. Slowly squeeze the trigger, and not think about the recoil. As stated, all shooters flinch at some point, let it whether you have more than thought. If it helps, put the safety and say that there is a live round in there (do not put one in, but if you can find some snap caps for this great work) and pull the trigger. You learn to do it that way, the camera and shoot a round exactly how did it without a cartridge. That's how I taught my lil brother 'how to shoot, and after what has been learned, throws 30-06s at 11 years of age. Good luck.
