In the film "Picnic at Hanging Rock", one of the girls said she saw a cloud was just red. What could be?
Picnic Hanging Rock is an Australian film. Some think it's a true story, but you can bet it's fiction. But what intrigues me is about this, I have not read the novel and do not know if it's mentioned in the novel, but one of the girls spoke of a single cloud that was red, she said it was a cloud of sunset or she would have said sunset. Implied that it was somewhere in the mountains. So, is there anything in real life (However, rare or foreign) that looks like a red cloud.
In Australia, especially, I think it was a cloud of red dust like a sandstorm. I understand they are common, and if they are illuminated by the Sun in the correct position, can be bright red. A friend of mine is a professional driver, and there were books that describe the strange weather phenomena, which is where I saw this long ago. 31 December 6, 1918 hours GMT.
