What to do in Philmont Scout Ranch, in addition to walking and backpack?
I do not want to go for at least two of my favorite parts of the explorers is the hiking and trekking. Philmont is fun at all? and worth the trip?
Your troop or group that will go to enroll in one of several routes of different lengths and difficulties. Depending on the itinerary, you can also do some donkey rides, gold panning, hiking, fishing, archeology, archery, shot, and more. I've only been in the training center and I enjoyed every moment of it. My daughter went camping country a week ago (with little training or previous experience) and loved loved it. Almost everyone I know has been there appreciated the experience. There is a reason the place is world famous and a great opportunity for the Scouts.
