Friend said that ocean going ships no longer use fins or wings which pivot as stabilizers. Is this true?
He described devices that I call thrusters, and thrusters are NOT used to stabilize an underway oceanliner from rolling in a heavy sea, or am I wrong?
Thrusters let the ship dock without tugs. Stabilizers are still used for roll control as you thought.
