Painful lump on the top of my left testicle?
It is tender more than pain. If I squeeze it it hurts, but then again if I squeeze my testicle is can become tender. I am 15 years of age and going through puberty. My balls have dropped, so to speak. I heard about a flashlight test, how does this work? I shined a bright light underneath the “growth” on the top of my left testicle and I could see the light coming through, but when I shine it through the rest of the left testicle, or the right testicle I see no light. I’m getting really scared. If you need more information ask, IDK what else to put down — please help me
Your answer isn’t helpful if you just write see a doctor. You don’t understand how nervous I am, I’d have to ask to see the doctor AGAIN and explain to her why, It’s horrible

I have had the lump there since I was 10/11 I think? Maybe earlier
If you’ve had this lump since you were 10 or 11, it almost certainly isn’t cancer. If it were cancer, you’d be dead by now. (Seriously. NO ONE survives untreated testicular cancer for four years.)
It’s probably a cyst or possibly a hydrocele, both of which are fairly common in men.
Given that you live in Great Britain, would it be possible for you to see a urologist who is a man? I know it’s probably sexist as hell to say this, but I’ve found it to be true: when it comes to problems down there, guys really do seem more sympathetic than women because we share the same equipment and we know when something is wrong; for the same reason that female gynecologists are usually more sympathetic to womens’ problems (and needs) than men are.
