Can an aluminum bottle purchased from walmart be used for fuel?
Can an aluminum water bottle such as the ones sold at Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=11969613&findingMethod=rr) be used for holding/supplying fuel for a camp stove without danger of blowing up?
I wouldn’t and won’t be using the bottle for anything else but to supply fuel to/for a Optimus Nova stove, that’s it.
The fuel I would be using is White Gas, Kerosene, Diesel, or Jet Fuel (if available).
They have the same look but not the same function. so the answer is no
Fuel bottles have a protective coating inside that prevents the fuel from deteriorating the aluminum, and are typically painted red with a warning label attached.
Drinking bottles as the one listed are for water only, some have a coating inside that is has BPA in it and many made in china have trace amounts of lead be careful what you buy
And be absolutely careful not to mix the two together!
