Can you identify this old nautical telescope?
Recently I got what I think is a telescope of nautical antiques. I could not telescope to find a similar comparison. They said they found off the coasts of the islands of Japan. Appears to be bronze. Two stand out Similar "weapon" in the left and right and a single screw type extension on the bottom. The focus ring is at the top of the telescope. My guess would be that the focus is around 30x. I would contact the Smithsonian with it … what a great find!
