How is a pocket watch supposed to be worn?
I’ve been thinking about getting a pocket watch since I hate wearing a watch cause it gets in the way. I’d like to know how a pocket watch is supposed to be worn. Can it be worn without a vest? Have you heard or seen people tuck it away in their pants pocket? And if so where and how do you attach it to yourself? I don’t wear a belt although maybe I should if I go for a pocket watch. About which period did men stop carrying pocket watches? I think they have an old time beauty but also I’m a bit of a steam punk. LOL.
I wear a pocket watch every day, and wear jeans most days.
Most jeans have a watch pocket-the small pocket above the main pocket on the right side. I use a spring ring chain, which clips onto a belt loop.
Different jeans have different sized pockets. Some of mine are a tight fit with an American 12-size watch. Others will hold a big American 18 size with plenty of room to spare.
